SRFC Bio FAQs

SRFC Bio's patented RS® spray creates an invisible coating on dozens of everyday surfaces like countertops, door handles, desks, and more. The active ingredient initially eliminates 99.9% of bacteria and viruses on cleaned surfaces, and even after it stops killing, it inhibits growth for days or weeks.

Yes, RS® is approved by the EPA to kill 99.9% of 18 different pathogens like COVID, E. coli, MRSA, and Salmonella for up to 24 hours. All other sanitizers and disinfectants stop killing when they dry, but RS® is patented for extending the life of the active ingredient, which keeps it working long after drying.

RS® is EPA-approved to kill 18 different pathogens including:

  • Acinetobacter baumannii (MDR)
  • E. faecium (MDR)
  • Escherichia coli O157:H7
  • E. coli (ESBL)
  • Klebsiella pneumoniae (CR)
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Salmonella enterica
  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • Staqphylococcus aureaus (MRSA)
  • Hepatitis B Virus (HBV)
  • Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)
  • HIV-1
  • Influenza A (H1N1) Virus
  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
  • SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
  • Human Rotavirus
  • Human Coronavirus (229E)
  • Klebsiella aerogenes

While RS® does not kill mold spores, it does prevent regrowth on clean surfaces for months at a time. A single application on surfaces has proven to effective at preventing mold reoccurrence for up to 15 months in some studies.

RS® spray is is mildly toxic and therefore is not safe for use on food surfaces.

RS® can be used on many different soft surfaces including curtains, couches, bags, bedding and shoes. It has also proven effective for stain removal and eliminating foul odors.

Yes. RS® acts as a 3-in-1 cleaner, sanitizer, and disinfectant. It's safely and easily applied by spraying and wiping with a cloth, and it will not harm soft textile household or non-porous surfaces. RS® easily takes care of grease and grime, even eliminating tough stains.

Because RS® is not water soluble, general cleaning methods will not remove the protective coating, and testing suggests it remains on surfaces for weeks or even months.

Routine weekly application mitigates foul smells in hard-to-reach areas like curtains, pet bedding, toilet and bathing areas, cabinets, and carpets.

Monthly routine cleaning application measurably eliminates bacteria, mold, and mildew in closed-up areas like closets, under-counter cabinets, toy boxes, and winterized or stored items like boats and RVs.

Yes, lab testing by researchers at the University of Arizona has verified the efficacy of SRFC Bio's  RS® spray.
