Bob Godfroid is the President and Chief Science Officer of SRFC Bio, with 30+ years of executive experience in research and development at Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo. He is a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Lawrence Technological University. He is also the inventor and developer of Swiffer and Febreze products, and he holds 30+ granted patents, multiple R&D award winner.
Bob’s mission in his personal and career life is to develop products that meet consumers’ needs, as he has done with products like Swiffer and Febreze. At SRFC Bio, he plays a critical role in developing breakthrough solutions in continuously active antimicrobial surface cleaners and coatings.
Bob’s advice to young scientists is to learn the science, learn the business, learn to communicate, and have fun. He also advises other scientists or entrepreneurs interested in developing new products to be persistent, collaborative, and focused on the needs of the end-user, approach problems with a multidisciplinary perspective, and stay up to date with the latest scientific and technological advancements in their field.

Chris Reiter is the Chief Commercial Officer at SRFC Bio with 25+ years of experience in executive positions in industrial manufacturing. He previously served as CEO of United Poly Systems, where he built a professional organization that promoted leadership throughout the company, resulting in improved safety, productivity, and teamwork. He has an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology.
Chris’ personal mission aligns with SRFC Bio’s vision to minimize illnesses and disease spreading. He was drawn to SRFC Bio’s technology platforms and forthcoming innovations to revolutionize the protective antimicrobial coatings industry. At SRFC Bio, he plans to focus on maximizing efficacy and kill claims while maintaining superior aesthetics. His advice to scientists and entrepreneurs is to align their personal, social, and business mission to bring products to the market that address all three.
Jodi Torres
VP of Finance
Jodi Torres serves as the VP of Finance at SRFC Bio, bringing over 25 years of executive experience in financial management across various industries. Throughout her career, she has held several roles, including VP Controller, CFO, and Director of Finance. Jodi obtained her Executive Financial Management certification from Cornell University, a BS in Accounting from Hartford, and a Business Administration from Midwestern State.
During her 7-year tenure with SRFC Bio, Jodi has been instrumental in driving the company’s financial strategies and operations, ensuring its ongoing success and growth. As a vital member of the executive team, she remains dedicated to advancing the company’s mission and making a significant impact on global health.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jodi is passionate about community service and leadership development in women, as evidenced by her membership in the Junior League of Collin County. She is also a strong advocate for animal rescue, actively supporting numerous related charity organizations.
Valerie Beck, PhD

Valerie Beck is the Director of Microbiology at SRFC Bio with 10+ years of experience, having served in multiple research roles. Her expertise lies in mechanisms of antibiotic research in hospital-associated pathogens and the in vitro efficacy of over-the-counter drugs. Valerie holds a B.S. and Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She was inspired to pursue science after a work-study job during college, where she became hooked on research.
At SRFC Bio, Valerie leads the development of innovative and science-backed infection control technology. Her personal mission is to work towards solutions that have a positive impact on society, with a focus on ensuring that technologies claiming to improve human health are rigorously tested. Valerie’s greatest career achievement so far has been contributing to the development of a fully registered antimicrobial product in just over a year.
Parham Asgari, PhD

Chemistry
Parham Asgari is the Director of Chemistry at SRFC Bio, with over 10 years of experience in organosilanes synthesis and catalytic C-H and C-C bond activation. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Tehran and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. Parham’s passion for the natural world and its principles led him to a career in science, and he is inspired by the work of Nobel laureate Robert Burns Woodward.
At SRFC Bio, Parham’s mission is to develop new materials that make a positive impact on society, specifically focused on long-lasting antimicrobial coatings using polymers. Collaboration and teamwork were crucial to the development of SRFC Bio’s third-generation antimicrobial technology, providing a new approach to preventing the spread of germs. Parham is committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of antimicrobial coatings.
